Two Marathons for One

Royal Parks Half Marathon - 11th October

Oh the good boy!

Yes he did it! First the Bupa Great North Run and then three weeks later the Royal Parks Half Marathon. And he did it 20 minutes faster than the first one. That is quite an achievement for a guy who used to mainly sit in his office chair.

Well Done, Malcolm!

And the the penny jar that served us so well for the Race for Life fundraising collected a whopping £41.41.

Now we will have to see if he is bitten by the running bug or if the dear friend will settle back into a more relaxed lifestyle.

Will keep you posted!

xx

A message from Malcolm

On September 20th at 10:20 I shall be lining up with thousands of others at the start of the Great North Run, a Half Marathon (13.1 miles, 21km) from Newcastle Upon Tyne to South Shields. I’ll be the one in the red Heart Runners vest, black shorts with a Green number 41518, so easy to spot on BBC1 ;-)

Special Offer!

I recently won a competition in Runners World which includes a place in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11th October – just 3 weeks after the GNR so

sponsor me for two half marathons for the price of one!

I aiming to raise at least £500 for the British Heart Foundation, I choose to run in aid of the British Heart Foundation, because my wife Angela and her dad have some heart problems. Angela is had in a new heart valve installed on June 23rd – we saw her  surgeon last Thursday and he is please how everything is going and she is recovering well. BHF have help fund many research innovations and advances in helping those with heart problems and also provide lots of useful help and information to help everyone’s heart.

Please take a moment to sponsor me. It's really easy - you can donate online by credit or debit card at the following address:

http://original.justgiving.com/malcolmsilburn

All donations are secure and sent electronically to British Heart Foundation.  If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will add an automatic 28% bonus to your donation at no cost to you.  Please join me in supporting British Heart Foundation and a fabulous cause!

Of course if you want to sponsor me by just giving me cash that’s fine too

You can keep an eye on my training progress at

It’s not gone as well as I would have like but I’ll get there

Many thanks

Malcolm (Silburn)
