A big 'Thank You' to the organisers of the 'Race for Life' run this Sunday! Yet again they pulled off a brilliant event! And they even made a deal with the weather Gods. The two days before it had been raining like mad and the morning of the Sunday was still a bit misty. Bang 11AM when the run started the sun came out!
This is a first page to give you some impressions - well, I think I will give hubby a voucher for a photo course for his next b-day, as he either cuts of heads or feet. I'm grateful that in these both cases he chose the feet. I will collect all the photos from our cheering crew and will create a proper gallery a bit later.
Visitors from Germay!
My parents came travelling from Germany to visit the event and to see how it's done. They were amazed by the relaxed and fun atmosphere and just loved it!
This was a fantastic day and the outcome was not just that we had a lovely picnic after the run, ...
... but we also compared our figures and found out that we smashed our target, ...
... we have at least 3 more ladies who want to join the team for next year, two of whom will have to run with their mums - thus we are building the generations to follow ours, ...
...and we got engaged in work for Bobby Moore fund.
A dear friend did the afternoon 'Bobby Moore Fund' run and spontaneously one of the gentlemen in our group promised to join for the next year.
I'm sure we can convince a few more. So the next year will not just see a bigger 'Incredible Ladies' team, but a 'Men of Incredible Ladies' team as well!
